My handsome boys! Today’s post on the blog is my experience with the transition from 1-2 kids vs the transition from 0-1 - link is in my bio 💙

Glossier Futuredew | First Impressions

October 15, 2019 in Skincare

I haven’t written about a Glossier launch in a while, but this sure is an exciting one! Glossier recently launched Futuredew, an oil-serum hybrid designed to give you that signature “Glossier glow.” Think the glow you get once you’ve applied all your skincare, but it lasts all day long. It’s meant to be used as the last step of your skincare routine to really amp up the glow.

Futuredew contains skin-nourishing oils like grape seed, jojoba, evening primrose, and rosehip, as well as brightening fruit extracts, squalane sourced from sugarcane, and light-reflecting minerals. Basically, it’s got everything to make you as glowy as possible.

The pump delivers a good amount of product. Glossier suggests using two pumps for your whole face, but I’ve been finding that one pump is enough for me. It has a light lotion texture that feels a bit thick and cushion-y when rubbed between your fingers, but it doesn’t feel heavy or drag on the skin as you apply it. It’s also a pale peach-y beige in color, although I don’t notice it providing any kind of coverage. It feels like a luxe layer of skincare as you apply it, smoothing over the skin and leaving a brilliant glow. You can feel that it contains oils, but it’s not greasy, if that makes sense. It just leaves your skin feeling juicy and nourished. I’ve worn it throughout the day for a few days and have noticed that it definitely does provide a glow all day long, far longer than other skincare. Despite leaving a lasting glow, it doesn’t feel like it’s sitting on the skin.

I apply this as the last step of my skincare routine, going over my usual serum, moisturizer, and SPF. I almost use it as a makeup primer. It works well as one, as it does help to smooth the skin and the glow blurs out imperfections. The glow also shines through whatever makeup you put on top - I’ve been wearing it underneath the Milk Makeup Flex Foundation Stick, which normally has a satin finish on me, and it makes it look dewy. It doesn’t seem to affect the weartime of any makeup I put on top.

It has a light scent that I would describe as faintly herbal, probably because it contains rosemary leaf oil (something to be careful of if your skin is sensitive). Everyone’s skin is different, but I haven’t had any kind of reaction or breakout due to Futuredew.

Full ingredient list:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Glycerin, Squalane, Isoamyl Laurate, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Butylene Glycol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Propanediol, Isohexadecane, 1,2-Hexanediol, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Olive Oil Polyglyceryl-6 Esters, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Polyglyceryl-6 Pentaoleate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Evodia Rutaecarpa Fruit Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Hydroxyacetophenone, Sodium Chloride, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Tin Oxide, Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491).
